NDR:  Still thinking about a  year-end  rally...

Ed Clissold, Chief U.S. strategist at Ned Davis Research, recently joined BNN Bloomberg to give his view on markets, including opinions offering support for a positive finish to the year. “Going into the end of the year during years like this, when we have a lot of winners and a lot of losers, the momentum trade tends to work” Clissold notes.

Ed also highlights that most of the S&P 500 companies that have reported earnings have beat estimates, which could point to a year-end rally. However, he warns about the performance of mid, small and value stocks as the end of 2023 gets closer.
